7. #NaNoWriMo

so november is national novel writing month.

i am part of the clear writing community which is a bunch of people who sharpened their writing skills with amit varma and some of us have decided to use the momentum of #nanowrimo to start / continue writing.

it's great for distracted amateur writers like me who need all sorts of external factors to get them to put pen to paper. or fingers to  keyboard in this case.

from the 1st of november, i have started my new thirty - everyday this month, i will write minimum 200 words. at the end of it there won't be a novel, but my writing muscle will be a teeny bit better worked out, and i will have written over 6000 words which i wouldn't have otherwise.

the writing may be a poem, a rant, a response to a writing prompt, or something else. all i know right now is, there will be #writing.

the new 30 is poetry again - but the poems will be of different types, sonnets, couplets, epitaphs, haiku, and so on.

5

the new series is going to be my thought of the day. not stuff like proverbs and sayings... just something i thought of each day.

4. random

perhaps because i am a libran, i find basic decision-making extremely difficult. the big choices don't daunt me and i can decide and choose with the best of them. but something like 'what should the next 30 be about' seriously takes me weeks to wrap my mind around. so in truly libran compromising fashion, i have decided that the new series will be a random one. anything that catches my eye / fancy over the next days will be up here.

simple.

2. poetry.....the new 30

so i have decided.
it continues to be poetry, but english this time. i had a tough time tracking down the meanings of some urdu words, which in turn made my posts slower and fewer. hopefully, with english poetry that should not be a problem.

i will present 30 poems, one each day for a month, some romantic, some funny, some that i don't particularly like but can't ever forget.
